Itinerary -
Day 01:
Check into the H.E.L lodge at Sursinghdhar and soak in the natural beauty. There are spectacular views to be enjoyed from the lodge. Post lunch one can go on a hike or indulge in activities like rappelling/jumaring or just chill out at the lodge. Also one very good option is to go on a sightseeing trip to Kanatal. Late evening head back to the lodge
Day 02:
The excitement continues with rafting on the holy Ganga. After breakfast we will drive down to Marine drive/Shivpuri (2.5 hrs) and from there raft down till Rishikesh through a section having class II – III+ rapids. This is almost a 25 kms (Marine drive down)/16 (Shivpuri down) long section. We do the famous ‘Golf Course’ & ‘Roller Coaster’ rapids along with a series of other rapids. We will finish our rafting by about 2 - 3 o’clock at Rishikesh. Change into fresh clothes (changing tents will be put up) have the packed lunch which is provided and continue with your onwards journey.

How to Reach
By Road: You could drive yourself from Delhi to Sursingdhar as there is a good road that connects Delhi to Haridwar & Rishikesh and beyond. For the drive, you would use the following route:
Delhi - Ghaziabad - Meerut (bypass) - Muzaffarnagar bypass - Roorkee - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Narendranagar - Chamba - Sursingdhar
By Air: Dehradun is now well connected to Delhi and Mumbai and the list of connections is growing daily with regular flights from all over the country. From Delhi there are close to 8 flights that operate during the day starting with the first flight at 9:55 am and the last flight at 3:30 pm. Fares begin at Rs. 3200 per person. From the airport, we could arrange a private transfer to the lodge for the trip. On the return also, there are flights available all day with the last flight departing at 4:30 pm.
By Rail: Haridwar is well connected to all parts of the country by rail. For cities that are not directly connected to Haridwar, one could come to Delhi and then take any of the trains to Haridwar that run all through the day. Given below are some of the train connections between Haridwar and Delhi.
Expected Weather
In the period Feb – May day time is going to be warm and pleasant. Evenings are going to be moderately cold in Mar, Apr & May and cold in Feb. Night temperature will be around 15 -17 deg Celsius in Mar - May & around 10 – 12 deg Celsius in Feb so come prepared with some winter clothing
In the period Jun – Sep day time is going to be slightly warm (20 – 30 deg Celsius). Evenings going to be pleasant (20-25 deg Celsius). On certain days in the month of June day time it can become warm & dry but evenings are always very pleasant. Also do keep in mind that due to rains the temperature can fall down at times
In the period Oct to Dec day time is going to be warm and pleasant if the sun is out, which mostly is around this time. Evenings are going to be moderately cold Oct & Nov and quite cold in December. With a bonfire next to you it is going to be an enjoyable experience. December the night temperature can go down to about 3 – 5 deg Celsius so come prepared with some winter clothing. In Oct – Nov period night temperature will be around 8 - 12 deg Celsius and you will need protection from the cold.

Lodge has stunning views of the Himalayan peaks (including India's second highest peak, Nanda Devi) and the emerald waters of the Tehri Lake. Add to it cool weather during the summers and you get a perfect base for an active holiday. The lodge has very elegantly done up rooms and a restaurant you can spend endless number of hours drinking tea/coffee. A walk into the surrounding pine forest is a complete must as is the one through the nearby village. Sursinghdhar is quite close to Rishikesh/Haridwar which makes it very accessible from all parts of the country
